Community Living Ajax-Pickering and Whitby Attends Day at the Legislature
On May 8th, Community Living Ontario invited agencies to attend the Ontario Legislature on behalf of Community Living Month. Seven Advocates from our Advocates Alliance attended Question Period and got to experience the ins and outs of how the Provincial Government works. After this enlightening experience, they had a great lunch on a rooftop patio (where they celebrated Courtney’s birthday!) and talked about the MPPs discussion regarding the #5ToSurvive Campaign and the need for more funding for Developmental Services in the Province. They also came up with some new ideas and plans for events to do together in the future. It was a great day of learning, sightseeing, inclusion, and bonding for our Advocates Alliance during Community Living Month! #AuthenticInclusion #CLMonth2024.
